We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover/Novus, check, or money order as forms of payment. Shipping fees need be added only to the cost of back issues and individual CD orders (shipping is included in the subscription cost). We are sorry that we can not send out any product or start any subscription prior to payment.

We hope to hear from you soon!

Q: Once I've subscribed, when will I receive my first issue?
A: All subscriptions begin with the next available issue. Since the magazine is published every two months, it depends on where in the cycle of the bi-monthly frequency your subscription is processed. If we have just finalized the mailing list of a new issue, it can take two months plus the mailing time (between a few days and a few weeks depending on your location relative to our printer) that it takes to arrive. If your subscription is processed just before we finalize our mailing list, it might take only 2 or 3 weeks. For safety, we like to allow up to 10 weeks for your first copy.

Q: What is the best way to communicate with customer service?
A: E-mail is the best way as our staff is very small and the phone can sometimes be busy with orders and/or other customers. The email address is fingerguitar@aol.com

Q: Where can I find a copy of Fingerstyle Guitar?
A: Although we can't say exactly which stores carry it, Fingerstyle Guitar is carried by many of the national chains including Barnes & Noble, Borderbooks, Walden Books, and Books-A-Million. Many independent music stores also carry it. But since each store, even the national book chains, select their own inventory, it's best to check with them first to ensure they carry it.

Q: Does every issue of Fingerstyle Guitar include a CD?
A: Yes. Since its inception in 1993, companion audio has always been included, first on cassette, then on CD. All back issues now include CDs, cassettes have been discontinued.

Q: Why do I sometimes see the new issue on the newsstand before it reaches my mailbox?
A: All copies are shipped from our printer at the same time, but since the subscriber copies are mailed 3rd class, and depending on your location (the east and west coasts are the last to receive copies), the stores can receive their copies first because they are sent via UPS ground.

Q: Are all the back issues still available?
A: Most, but not all. As long as we have printed copies available, we can still provide them, but over time, we run out of certain issues. Currently, issues 10, 12, 16, 17, 22, 24 and 34 are no longer available. We do have a special on all the available back issues.

Q: Can I purchase all the available back issues?
A: Yes, we have a special deal for them, at $379.95 (shipping is included for the U.S. and Canada, but all other countries are $50 extra for surface delivery and $100 for air mail. Separately, the issues would cost over $600 plus shipping.

Q: Do you publish any other magazines?
A: Yes, we publish a bass magazine called Bassics that also includes a free CD. You can find out more at www.bassics.com.

Q: How do I get the advertised free strings?
A: Every 2-year subscription includes the free strings, simply choose from the list of available sets and we'll get them shipped out to you as quickly as possible. Please allow ample time for receipt of the strings because we are often back-ordered so it may take some time to fill all requests.

Q: I have the early issues and would like to replace the cassettes with CDs, can that be done?
A: Yes, we have a special deal to replace the CDs, just call us on our toll-free number 888-223-3340 (outside the U.S. and Canada, 716-754-4463) and we'll take care of it for you.

Q. What are the international subscription rates?
A. The international rates for 1 year are $39.95 in Canada and Mexico and $72.95 in all other countries, and $69.95 in Can/Mex and $129.95 international for 2 years.

Q. Do I need to add tax to the cost of my subscription?
A. No, subscriptions are exempt from tax.

Q. What is included on the CDs that accompany the magazine?
